John E. Beale (KK4ECA), a native of Norfolk, Virginia, was born on September 4, 1953, and passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, in Ariton, Alabama, at the age of 71. John was a calming presence in life’s storms and brought laughter to its quiet moments. He had a brilliant mind and an unmatched work ethic, profoundly touching the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Beale; his sister, Lorrie Welborn (Jerry); and his children, Jonathan (Evelyn), Adam (Michelle), Ryan (Erica), Kristi Fields (Clifton Hunter), and Coralie Bennefield (Lonnie). He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Earle Beale and Pearl Beale, and his sister, Jean Hunsucker (Orville).
John’s legacy lives on through the lessons he shared and the love he freely gave. May those who knew him carry his light and laughter in their lives.

Richard H. Warner (Dick, N2OUX, member #928), age 80, passed away on December 3, 2025, at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born on April 6, 1945, in DeRuyter, NY, Richard grew up there, attended school, and played basketball. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965 and later worked as a truck driver, including at Great American Food Stores. An avid amateur radio operator, he loved connecting with family and friends and cherished his dog, Buddy.
Richard is survived by his children: Steve, Sandy, Rich, and Ashley; several grandchildren; and a sister, Mary.

Mike was born on April 13, 1962, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, to Lawrence and Colette (Pazurek) Matthews. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981.
Mike was proud to be a licensed Ham Radio Operator (Amateur Extra, KC9LHB) for many years, a passion that reflected his technical skill and love of connecting with and helping others. He checked in daily with many ham radio groups, established friendships with radio operators around the world, and even made contact with the International Space Station on his radio. He became interested in radio and electronics in his youth after listening to shortwave radio, and taught himself Morse co

Aaron Edgar Proffer (Aaron KE0BEN, Member #1357), age 80, passed away at his home in Scott City, MO, on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Aaron retired from Scott City Schools, where he served as a custodian. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Scott City, the Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Lodge #1810 in Chaffee, MO.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as very special friends and caregivers, Bradley and Sandy Ressel. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
